The TCEQ and Samsung Austin Semiconductor invite K-5 students in Texas to submit their artwork of how they, along with their friends and family, help keep the air and water clean, conserve water and energy, and reduce waste.
K-5 Students in Texas
Students submit a unique piece of artwork showing how they can help Take Care of Texas. The artwork must be two-dimensional but can be done with crayons, watercolor, paints, colored pencils, and more!
Contest opens on January 5 and closes on March 6, 2015.
Winners will be announced on April 3, 2015.
Participants submit their artwork to the TCEQ's regional office for CyFair. Each of the TCEQ's 16 regional offices will select a winner. Of those 16 winners, one will be selected as the grand-prize winner.
Win a Samsung tablet or laptop! One student, chosen from the 16 regional winners, will receive the grand prize - a Samsung laptop. The remaining 15 regional winners will each receive a Samsung tablet. One teacher, of one of the 16 winners, will be randomly selected to also win a Samsung tablet.
All 16 winning art pieces will be showcased on the Take Care of Texas and TCEQ websites and newsletters at the 2015 Environmental Trade and Conference (ETFC) and in media announcements.
The grand prize winner will also be invited to the ETFC in Austin to be recognized by the TCEQ commissioners and a Samsung Austin Semiconductor representative.
